Additional information : Le Rum Ether est un additif créé par un mélange complexe de substances volatiles obtenu par distillation des produits de réaction de l’acide pyroligné et de l’alcool éthylique dans des conditions oxydantes, en présence de dioxyde de manganèse et d’acide sulfurique.
Selon un rapport, l’EFSA (European food safety authority) indique que parmi les 84 constituants volatils qui composent le Rum Ether, certains sont cancérigènes and genotoxic (ie they compromise the physical or functional integrity of the genome and may in particular cause of disability transmitted to descendants and / or cancers), and therefore the use of Rum Ether is “worrying” for health.
