Reason for recall : Discovery of the presence of E. coli (Escherichia coli de type O26).

Additional information :

“Thirteen cases of hemolytic uremic syndrome (SHU) due to infection with “Escherichia coli” type O26 have occurred in young children, since 21 March 2019, in several regions. Health authorities have undertaken the necessary investigations to identify the source of food contamination causing these cases and protect consumers..

According to the first results of the investigations, several of these children consumed Saint-Félicien and Saint Marcellin cheeses before the onset of their symptoms.”
