InVS : Institute of sleep health
Created in 1998, l’InVS est un établissement public, sous la tutelle du ministère chargé de la Santé, qui a pour mission de surveiller en permanence l’état de santé de la population.
The tasks entrusted to the InVS cover :
1) Permanent state of population health monitoring and observation
L’InVS participe au recueil et au traitement des données sur l’état de santé de la population à des fins épidémiologiques, en s’appuyant notamment sur des correspondants publics et privés constituant le réseau national de santé publique ;
2) Health monitoring and vigilance
The lnVS is responsible for gathering, analyser et actualiser les connaissances sur les risques sanitaires, leurs causes et leur évolution ; de détecter de manière prospective les facteurs de risque susceptibles de modifier ou d’altérer la santé de la population ou de certaines de ses composantes, so sudden or diffuse ; to study and record, for each type of risk, to study and record ;
3) The health alert
to study and record, regardless of the origin, to study and record ;
4) A contribution to the management of health crises
The InVS offers Governments any measure or action required.
